Some thoughts on how to get the job or career you want from recruiting pros.

If you are looking for a new position in your current career, want to switch careers entirely, or are just out of college looking to start your career, here are some recommendations and ideas to help you land your next job.

We are in unprecedented times due to the shutdown over the novel coronavirus.  Perhaps these tips and how to's will give job seekers a great start to their search when the economy is allowed to reopen.  These pointers can be helpful to professionals who have been displaced due to current conditions, who are recent college grads, or who just want a new career and pursue other interests.  So I’ve put down some general ideas and pointers that may help, and received some great tips and information from other recruiting pros.

If you are dedicated to your search and really want to learn as much as you can: research, read, and reach out.  View articles, blogs, tips.  The major job boards often have great career advice and job search sections.  I use website links throughout this site and recommend some simple search strings for job seekers to research further and learn more.  I will do my best to keep links that are active.  And most importantly, take action.  Be proactive, contact and reach out to companies and hiring managers.

This is not the end-all, be-all of how to get a job.  There are wonderful books, manuals, recruiters, job placement experts, company leaders, that can help get your career to the next step.  These are just some insights and recommendations that should help you along the way.
